Streamex Secures $1.1 B Capital for Gold-Backed Stablecoins

VANCOUVER/LOS ANGELES, July 8, 2025 — BioSig Technologies (NASDAQ: BSGM) and newly merged Streamex Exchange today finalized $1.1 billion in institutional growth financing, positioning the company among the largest publicly held gold treasury entities and accelerating tokenized commodity strategies. More physical gold will be offloaded to accommodate product.

Bottom Line

The deal includes $100 million in senior secured convertible debentures—priced at 96% of face value, paying 4% interest (rising to 18% on default)—plus a $1 billion equity line of credit deployable over 36 months for buying gold. The financing anchors Streamex's real-world asset (RWA) platform, which aims to tokenize the estimated $142 trillion commodities market via Solana

Key Developments

  • Anticipated close by October 7, subject to shareholder and Nasdaq approvals
  • Placement agents include Cantor Fitzgerald, Clear Street, and Needham; CIBC World Markets served as strategic advisor
  • BioSig will allocate proceeds to build gold bullion reserves—secured with top-tier vaulting—and to expand blockchain‑based commodity token offerings

Market Implications

Now comes a new product that attempts to meet both worlds. It promises that if you own the token, you own the rights to a specific amount of real gold. It can't be used in fractional banking. While trust in the custodian is still necessary, the token itself is a digitally encoded contract. In short, the stablecoin and token represent a fusion of physical and digital finance.

This product will attract ETF investors who worry they can’t redeem for physical metal. It will also appeal to those who want physical gold but can’t deal with its logistics. They’ll see it as safer than futures and more convenient than vaulting bullion. These new tokens could siphon users from both ends of the gold investor spectrum. Which will broaden ownership of the asset class itself

Gold, Stablecoins and The Next Bubble

Podcast: Gold, Stablecoins and The Next Bubble

Stablecoins may soon dominate gold ETF markets by merging physical backing with digital convenience. Custodianship remains a trust risk, but the network may begin valuing tokenized gold on par with physical. A gold bubble will form, likely at much higher prices. The vaulting of Stablecoin gold alone will deplete comex vaults dry. Like cash before it, utility may then trump form until systemic risk intercedes.

Assuming no major fraud or collapse in the early stages, the long-term implication is that these treasury firms will continue buying and holding gold. As that gold gets wrapped in tokens and moved into this financialized system, they may effectively become the new gold vaults—replacing the role COMEX once played.

Whats Next for Streamex?

Upon closing, Streamex/BioSig expects to hold significant gold reserves and begin issuing backed tokens. Market analysts estimate gold’s daily trading volume ($55 billion), will reinforce the strategic rationale.

The move could signal increased institutional adoption of blockchain-based gold as a treasury reserve replacing traditional items like cash and UST.
