Turning Point USA
As someone who spends a lot of time on X for work, I usually hear about news there first. Not this time. I had just spent a few hours working on trade structures for this alert which I posed on X without checking the timeline, and headed out for lunch.
⚡️Betting On A Crackdown⚡️

Bullish trades on three companies likely to profit from the crackdown on urban crime we anticipate in response to the killing of Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte. https://t.co/BZ0JMkhJCK
I got a call from my mother while I was driving, asking if I'd heard the news about Charlie Kirk. She was distraught, even though at that point, neither she nor I knew he had been killed (neither of us had seen the footage of the shooting yet).
I didn't even know my mother knew who Charlie Kirk was, but that she did was a testament to his talent in getting his message out. Unlike a lot of young right wingers, Charlie transcended the Internet, and had a larger impact in mainstream media and in person, which ultimately cost him his life. And unlike many older conservative pundits who started out in mainstream media, Charlie's views matured and evolved, becoming more right-leaning/paleoconservative over time. Below are some reactions to his assassination from accounts I follow on X.
The Right Reacts To The Assassination Of Charlie Kirk
The Russian podcasters note the similarity between the current moment in America and Ukraine on the verge of war in 2014.
When Ukrainian activists burned pro-Russian locals alive in Odessa in 2014, it shocked many. But it was the GLEE from Ukrainians joking about "Odessan barbecue" that made full-scale civil war inevitable

US leftists mocking Charlie Kirk's shooting feel eerily familiar
Upstate Federalist reminded a leftist zoomer of his previous character assassination of Charlie Kirk
His family did deserve you calling him a Nazi Klansman, though. https://t.co/Y9ZUdAKBFA pic.twitter.com/iUXsy90qcB

Amy Curtis reminded California Governor Gavin Newsom of the time he mocked the assassination attempt on Trump.

Benjamin Braddock on Charlie Kirk:
He believed that differences could be settled with civility and understanding. He demonstrated that at thousands of events across the country. From my jaded and cynical viewpoint, it seemed corny and naive - but admirable. An old and deeply American attitude. It took enormous…

Calls for crushing the radical left raise questions of whether Trump has loyal men to do so.
Has the Trump admin cleaned house at the FBI yet, or are we going to rely on the people who arrested @DougMackeyCase and raided Trump’s home to crack down on the left? https://t.co/UlMo9FMSrb
— David Pinsen (@dpinsen) September 10, 2025
Maybe he does--in ICE.
Just open a sub department of ICE for "counter terrorism" or some such, staffed to the gills with loyalists. Leave the FBI in the dustbin of history.

Well said.
If Trump 2.0 Generation can’t make bricks with this straw—bricks that wall the Left off from power for however many generations it takes for them to transform beyond all recognition—then we’ll lose, sooner than we think, and we’ll have deserved to lose. Honor their memories. https://t.co/2k1gB7Yaow

A good response to a leftist gloating over Kirk's death.
Yes

Historically, this is how man lost most debates
It took a lot of love, a lot of courage, a lot of radical gentleness, a lot of faith in the human project, and yes, a lot of blood to wrestle from human animals this very brief period of reason we have been enjoying together pic.twitter.com/UupwlJUmlD
Maybe a third world student at the college had advance knowledge of the assassination.
maybe somebody look into this guy pic.twitter.com/JQprbOhYth

A good reminder of the left's lies about political violence.
This is a good time to remind everyone that the claim “most domestic extremist violence is right-wing” is fake. It’s based on counting violence by White prison gangs as right-wing extremism and not counting things like the George Floyd riots as left-wing extremism.

Charlie Kirk warned of the left's embrace of assassination culture after the murder of the United Health CEO.
Prophetic. https://t.co/QJgUQUAgr4

They're evil.

Sam Hyde suggests Trump cross the Rubicon.
Time to do your fucking job and seize power... if you want to be more than a footnote in the "American Collapse" section of future history books, it's now or never @JDVance @PeteHegseth @PalmerLuckey @realErikDPrince https://t.co/RqgbKmvmKN

He tags Palmer Lucky, who hopefully isn't too busy sending drones to Ukraine or riding his new flying motorcycle. Russian diplomat and sovereign wealth fund CEO Kirill Dmitriev prays for Charlie.
🙏 for Charlie. Voices of Light will not be silenced. 🕊️ https://t.co/JpuCiIpXVZ

Echoes of leftist terror from 50 years ago.
When the revolution the left expected in the 60s didn’t come, it turned to terrorism, giving rise to groups like the Weather Underground.

You’re seeing something similar play out now. https://t.co/Da23VV5Ml3
People should see the video of the shooting.
If I ever get shot at a political rally, and you have video of it, please post it and never delete it. The last thing I want to do is be maimed or slaughtered for my beliefs in obscurity. I'll never understand what people like this are upset about. pic.twitter.com/W8to0JKbu6

Here it is (if it hasn't been removed by the time you see this). Viewer discretion advised.
It is evil … the media demonized him, so he was shot.

Gleeful leftists should pay for their sociopathy.
Anyone who celebrated Luigi. Anyone who who hoped for Thomas Crooks to finish the job... There need to be consequences for them. Make it painful to employ them. Make it hurt to be affiliated with them in any way. Make their sociopathic derangements a severe and permanent burden.
— Lomez (@L0m3z) September 10, 2025
They're evil.
This person wrote a widely acclaimed novel in which J.K. Rowling burns to death. I imagine some readers thought it was satirical or metaphorical but, no, this kind of person just wants their political opponents to die. pic.twitter.com/yIlDUmLppW

"They killed the last man in America willing to have a conversation". Many comments along similar lines.
The Left crossed the Rubicon. It wasn't us or Trump. They would've been better off killing me or any of my mutuals. But they killed Charlie Kirk: the last man in America willing to have a conversation. Now we're all that's left. We're going to crush these terrorists. No mercy.
— Othman 🌲 (@OthmanOnX) September 10, 2025
Charlie knew the risks and "died in the saddle". Rest in Peace.
On the news tonight they played a clip of him from last year saying “Sure I get death threats. But if you’re not getting death threats in this line of work, it means you’re probably not doing enough for the country.”
— St2station (@St2station) September 10, 2025
He did enough and more, and died in the saddle. RIP Charlie. https://t.co/FLAJj9aLxJ
A warning from history:
The day will come when the violence you have unleashed will be turned against you.
On the final day before the Spanish Civil War broke out, the head of Spain's Right-wing political coalition warned on the floor of parliament that the Left had pushed the nation past its breaking point.
