China's Unitree Unveils "Terminator"-Like Humanoid In Chilling New Demo Video
Chinese robotics leader Unitree unveiled its H2-X in a promotional video Wednesday morning, highlighting the terrifying capabilities of humanoid robots and raising questions about their eventual dual-use military applications.
The H2-X footage reminds us how close humanity is to the "Terminator" movie's Skynet robots, with potential testing/deployment in active war zones becoming an increasingly near-term reality.
"Powerful performance to serve and guard you, with a maximum endurance of approximately 8 hours," Unitree wrote on X.
Unitree Introducing: H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian🤖 Powerful performance to serve and guard you, with a maximum endurance of approximately 8 hours. Please use the robot safely and in a friendly manner. https://t.co/5RU5kDzSUK

Unitree's video builds on BTIG's note last week, which outlined "real-world evidence" showing that these humanoids are moving onto factory floors, into warehouses, and behind restaurant counters.
Our view from the first quarter of this year is that movement already suggests these robots are intriguing Ukrainian military commanders, as testing may be underway or could begin soon.
